[four thousand plus rules is just an absurd amount of principles one has to follow, let's be real here. even prim and proper lan sizhui has certainly broken more than a good handful of them, whether on purpose or not, but kissing a foreigner – outside of wedlock, nonetheless! – is certainly one that would be frowned upon if they were caught.
odd, how the younger of them is always considering ways to get his new friend home, yet jason is doing the opposite. coming from the world he does, sizhui's unsure why he wouldn't want to go back... unless he's running from something in particular, although he hasn't ever been brave enough to question it. not only that, but he likes having jason around, enjoys the company far more than he should and stingily, he wants him to stay for as long as possible. especially when they've taken this step toward furthering their relationship(?) in a way he never thought jason would feel the same about.
disapproval is totally abandoned in favor of continuing to kiss, ignored for his own selfish reasons; the older boy tastes sweet like mooncakes, like something wholly jason and another thing he can't quite put his finger on. it's intoxicating, regardless, almost as bad as their wine they'd had earlier, to the point sizhui doesn't consider any other worse possibilities. the laugh makes him question such a bold move, the hand moving to his waist and jay kissing him back certainly isn't anything he second-guesses, though. he smiles faintly too, tilts his head, shyly opens his mouth to dart the tip of his tongue across jason's lower lip with a soft, approving hum.]
[ pretty as sizhui is, jason might just panic if he heard the word marriage. not that it was about to happen when jason could barely show his ugly mug around here. sizhui kept him on a tight leash... as far as he knew, anyway.
sometimes, this world is frustrating. the language barrier and culture barrier for sure, but sizhui made up for it enough jason wouldn't mind if he really was stranded here. this? just makes it all the more tempting to give up the ruse; staying here wouldn't be so bad. it's a lot more than he had waiting for him back on his earth. fuck the titans, fuck dick grayson. this... this is the best he's gonna get, a million years away. worth the culture shock, for sure.
mooncakes isn't the only thing jason tastes on sizhui's tongue, the lingering sweetness of alcohol there when he follows the teasing slip of tongue back into sizhui's mouth with his own tongue. past sizhui's soft lips, his tongue runs along the row of sizhui's teeth before tangling with his tongue. his arm curls around sizhui's waist, tugging him closer when there's no real space on the bench anyway. pretty scenery for memory, but jason's thinking now that they should have slipped inside. this would be a lot more comfortable in bed, he's thinking. ]
[neither of them need to worry about marriage of all things. sizhui's not ready for that yet, particularly when he's still learning so much about himself, what he wants in life, what he might like in an actual partner in the first place. he does know: keeping jason hidden isn't what he wants, but it's the safest thing for them both.
their language lessons have been going so well, he wouldn't have assumed it was something that still bothered jason. if he were to find out, then perhaps they could do something about it, find a way to teach jason quicker or figure out some sort of talisman fix for the problem. (talismans always seem to help in a pinch, they're all so varied.) being fair, that's an idea they'll get to use sooner rather than later once the night is out. but if he were to find out jason would rather stay as well, there's a likely chance sizhui'd expire on the spot.
his hand at jason's neck slides higher, fingers tangling into the hair he finds, holding them both steady while they kiss. he gasps again when jason reciprocates in kind, opens his mouth a little wider, inviting him in further, totally enamored with how it feels. tiny spots flicker into his vision as he flutters his eyelashes, lets himself be tugged closer, hooks his arm entirely around jason's shoulders to hold them together. funnily enough, he's wondering the same thing, is even pulling away to make an offer,] Jason, I... I think we should— [then everything's abruptly not funny at all once he realizes they're not alone anymore.
“lan sizhui!” and “a-yuan!” come simultaneously, both from two different voices. he withdraws immediately, the hand lingering to grip jason's front, fingers vice-like on the fabric of his robes.] H-Hanguang-jun! Xian-gege!? [“what are you doing?” from the first man.] I-I was— I mean, we were just— [he stops again, tightens his hold a decent amount, shamefully inclines his head.
“lan zhan,” the second one pipes, “they were only kissing! kissing!” and then he laughs, obviously intoxicated himself, though this doesn't deter lan wangji whatsoever. sizhui finally looks up, lips trembling despite them being pursed. “with me. now.” he lets go, scrambles to his feet, stumbling the faintest amount on his way toward his parents.] Hanguang-jun... [“mmn.” “lan zhan,” and while it sounds playfully scolding, there's a hint of seriousness, which gets quickly countered. “stay, wei ying.”
before there can be any complaints, the man in all white turns toward the door, fully expecting sizhui to follow on his own (because he knows that sizhui knows if he doesn't, it'll only be worse).]
